Monkey Gang Resurrects Hip-Hop With Smif N’ Wessun

At a recent benefit for earthquake victims in Japan, fictitious rap group Monkey Gang opened for veteran Brooklyn rap group, Smif and Wessun. The group performed after hip hop legends such as Large Professor, Sadat X of Brand Nubian and Q-Tip from a Tribe Called Quest. Smif And Wessun’s new album, Monumental, a collaboration with Pete Rock will be out June 28th.
