As one half of the Neptunes, Pharrell Williams helped make the music that helped Justin Timberlake gain a lot of Black fans. In this interview, Pharrell talks about JT’s transition from a member of the boy band N*Sync, into a pop star who was unafraid to flirt with soul and other sounds that appealed to African-Americans.
