Jay-Z recently appeared in a Rocawear commercial titled ‘Marcy To Barclays’, Jay-Z reflects on his journey from Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to legendary music superstardom and beyond.
“Wherever you grow up, it’s your root, right?” the Roc Nation mogul asks while images of the streets of New York appear. As the story unfolds, Jay explains how his vision for success evolved over time. “My goal was to have one gold album, and that was it. And then it became, ‘I want to show that artists can ascend to the executive ranks.’”
