Police have arrested the man who attempted to abduct a 10 year old girl. He turned himself in after his family persudaded him to. Due to the publicity surrounding the case he knew he would not be able to walk the streets. He is 33 year old Carlos Figueroa-Fagot. The 10 year old girl and her 2 year old brother were walking home on South Lee Street in South Philly after getting water ice a couple blocks away. You can watch the video here and see the man coming up from behind, grab the girl, and tries to run off with her. She struggles with him and falls to the ground. The man tries again but is stopped when her 2 year old brother starts screaming. The 10 year old also bit the man and then got away. She knew what to do after watching NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The 10 year old has identified him.
Figueroa-Fagot has has been charged with attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, indecent assault, aggravated indecent assault, corrupting the morals of a minor, interference with the custody of a child, simple assault, false imprisonment and unlawful contact with a minor.
